A Legacy of Healthcare Since 1962
Kasbekar-Metgud Clinic, the brainchild of late Dr. Kamal Kasbekar (Mrs. Metgud) and Dr. V. S. Metgud, is situated in Belagavi on Belagavi-Sambra Road near Fort Lake, opposite Circuit House at Shivaji Nagar, Belagavi. The clinic has been at this location since 1962 and is known for cleanliness and services provided by qualified medical staff.

Founder's story
A legacy built on trust, care and service.
Dr. Kamal V. Kasbekar was born on 15/04/1918 in Ankola. She completed her primary education in Belagavi & Dharwad. She joined Grant Medical College Bombay, now Mumbai, for undergraduate studies and completed her post-graduation in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in 1950. She went to the UK and completed FRCS in 1958. She met Dr. V. S. Metgud in the UK. They later married in 1959. She served as Professor and HOD of the OB & Gynac Department in Karnataka Medical College, Hubli (now Karnataka Institute of Medical Science, Hubballi). In 1972, Dr. Kamal Kasbekar and her husband Dr. V. S. Metgud started Kasbekar Metgud Clinic in Belagavi, catering to patients of North Karnataka. She died in a tragic car accident on 18 March 1975.

Canteen
Canteen provided for usual eatables, tea, coffee and soft drinks. Alcoholic drinks and smoking are not allowed in the hospital.
Water
Purified hot and cold water is provided 24 hours a day with safe drinking water.
Kitchen
Two kitchens, one on each floor, for patient relatives to cook their food.
Laundry
Dhobi Ghat for washing relatives' clothes and a power laundry for hospital clothes.
OPD
Separate outpatient department open during day and evening timings and closed at night. Emergency service is available 24 hours a day. OPD has separate consultation rooms at different timings.
Family Planning
Clinic carries out Family Planning programme as a national programme.
Recognition
The National Task Force of India recognized the hospital as a Baby Friendly Hospital.
Power Backup
Generators of 82.50 KVA for electricity supply during power failure.
Government Scheme
The clinic states that it is recognized by the Government of Karnataka for treatment of patients under the AYUSHMAN BHARAT scheme for COVID-19.
Visiting Specialists
Orthopaedic, Oncosurgery, Neurosurgery, Paediatric Surgery, Plastic Surgery, Endoscopy and Urology specialists visit the clinic as and when necessary.
